The Author
Julia Van Cleve is a junior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, pursuing a bachelors degree in mathematics. Up until Spring 2009, she worked with Professor Harry W. McLaughlin researching optimal methods and formats for using multimedia education to teach mathematics. Recently, Julia has been working on EEG research in CogWorks Laboratories under Dr. Wayne Gray.
Julia is also secretary for the NY Kappa chapter of the National Mathematics Honor Society Pi Mu Epsilon and Associate Copy Editor for the RPI campus newspaper The Polytechnic. Since Fall 2009, Julia has been a mentor for the Women at Rensselaer Mentor Program.
